Once before a sent out a message about problems with pipes on Pinewood between Sefton and Glenoak. I just wanted to let everyone interested know the latest information. I have a drain in my basement and I am the first house at the intersection of pinewood and glenoak on the sewer water line in front of my house. Because of problems on Pinewood (city workers know it is a problem when they come and clean it out)it gets slow at my intersection and I get the sewer gases in my basement. I have called the city many many times over the last few years in regards to this problem. The hardest part in when they clean out up Glenoak instead of Pinewood as I explain to the operators over and over and over again. Then when they come if I am lucky enough to catch them trying to clean out up GLENOAK I have to go out and redirect them . Well the other day I called and when they came they went up glenoak and I just watched. I just could not fight it at the moment. By Friday I went out and came home to a whole house full of sewer gases. Lucky to have multiple numbers from all my calling they did come right away now with snowy icey streets they did Pinewood but would not dig to get to my sewer on Glenoak at the intersection as it was a guess just were it is located on a Friday late afternoon. I feel fortunate they came right away when I did call. They are now supposed to video the street on Tuesday the 15th. I wanted to share with you. As for my house I got immediate relief when they cleaned the line from all the way up Pinewood to Sefton and opened all my windows and aired out my heated house. This is not the fix. The fix is when they do something about the pipes on Pinewood.
